Aquatec was present at Coastal Sediments 2019, the renowned international symposium on engineering and science of coastal sediment processes. The conference series, which has been running for 42 years, held its ninth quadrennial edition from 27-31 May, in Tampa / St. Pete Beach, against the stunning backdrop provided by Florida’s Gulf of Mexico.

The Coastal Sediments 2019 conference provided a valuable international forum for exchange of information and technical discussions, as well as an ideal platform for networking with coastal engineers, geologists, marine scientists, oceanographers, and others interested in the physical process of coastal sediment transport and morphology change.

The theme of the symposium, ‘Advancing Science & Engineering for Resilient Coastal Systems’, was highlighted by the two keynote addresses delivered–‘The Nearshore Water-Land System During Major Storms’–and–‘Past, Present, and Future Considerations in Coastal Engineering’. The program that followed included nearly 260 professional presentations in four concurrent oral sessions and two poster sessions during three days.

Coastal Sediments 2019 gave Aquatec the perfect opportunity to present its sediment monitoring products and solutions, meet over 300 colleagues from around the world, participate in relevant conferences, and share its industry knowhow.  It was also an opportunity to showcase deployments of the world-leading AQUAscat and AQUAlogger 310TY instruments in coastal, riverine, and laboratory environments by our clients and past winners of the Aquatec Equipment Awards.
